Steroidgate

1) Did anyone see what Barry Bonds said the other day when he was asked why he hadn’t bought his trainer a mansion to live in…(apparently the $20,000 bonuses aren’t enough, since the trainer lives in his car half the time)? This is what he said:
I just don’t.
2) Where in the heck does McCain (Wash Post–free reg req) get off trying to tell us how Congress may need to “intervene” in the steroids in baseball issue. I even heard him on Don Imus this morning saying they need to take the approach more like the NFL, and if they don’t, McCain and Company would have to help “enforce” laws to straighten this out.
OK, first off, I think he’s right on one point. The NFL has a much better way of dealing with this (one positive drug test and you’re out for a quarter of the season). However, since when does the Congress ever do any “enforcing” of the laws. That scares me a little bit.

| Logipundit,
You know now that this is all about me and Scottie lobbing bombs at each other, and no one cares about steroids. Only posts with megadeaths and CIA plots are interesting. The rest are just smoke and mirrors. Don’t look behind the curtain! |
