Finkelstein on Carter

Recall that President Jimmy Carter orchestrated the first peace initiative between the Palestinians and Israelis at Camp David. This was a monumental achievement in that it effectively removed the Egyptian presence from the mix, as Egypt proved that it was not a military basketcase in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. It had been thought that war was not the “arab’s game” previous to the 1973 stalemate.
I think that President Jimmy Carter has much credibility on the I-P issue, and the above link gives some insightful comments from Finkelstein on Carter’s new book “Peace not Apartheid”.
Happy Reading!

I will let ya’ll know (am sure you’re all very shocked) that I have a particular challenge with Jimmy Carter’s authority on foreign affairs– however my complete utter lack of respect for the man on the general subject of foreign policy has little to do with I-P.
So read I will…all the time trying to forget the poor peanut farmer wrote it. :o) Good ole’ Jimma.
