No, I don't think he has a real shot. But, the more people that support him will put more pressure on the "Big 2", McCain and Rudy, to answer serious questions regarding illegal immigration.

Sorry, having some linking challenges today.

don't know much about Duncan Hunter, Nick.

Here's the link to his site

Do you think he has a shot, Nick? Hate to be a pessimist, but...you know, it's probably a relevant question.

Duncan Hunter?? His spending record is ridiculous, I'll admit. But regarding the War on Terror and illegal immigration, who would you rather have?

Myself, I certainly never objected to McCain for his running against Bush in 2000, because I voted for him.

Since then, I've sort of gone back and forth on him (flip flopped, if you will). Actually you could say I've come full circle.

His campaign finance reform was simply maniacal, and his "maverick" status with the media, especially regarding his "anti-torture" bill, is so grating to me; I've always felt he was too busy running for something and not busy enough doing what he says needs to be done.

Then I started looking at his voting record (most notably he was one of TWO Senate Republicans--the other being Chuck Hagel--who voted against the Medicare Prescription bill). He scores a 91% with Citizens Against Government Waste (the only "special interest scoreboard" I ever keep up with), which for a "maverick" Republican is extraordinary.

Like I said, still haven't made up my mind, but Gramm certainly makes some good points.
