The verdict today is a long time coming.
But who will ask the obvious question : Will Cheney ever visit the hot seat?
People like Libby obey orders; they do not undertake such missions without being told to do so. He outed a spy, and lied about it after the fact, but he certainly did not take the initiative to do so out of patriotic duty.
The lot of them should be indicted, and if not for the Valerie Plame case, then for lying to the American people so we could invade Iraq, for all the wrong reasons, reasons that remain hidden from the vast majority of the American people.

Whoa horsey! Who is this Libby guy, anyway? What he do, bug the DNCs phones? Sell missile technology to the Chinese? Trade arms for hostages or something….
For someone with such distaste for the CIA, you sure are excited when someone gets convicted for outing one…an agent out of the field for years whose husband wrote op-eds in major newspapers. Strange bedfellows. Well, whatever it takes to make the admin look bad.

when the CIA breaks international law, they should be punished
when the aide to our VP breaks the law, he should be punished

Scooter Libby was not convicted of “outing” anyone.
I think Johnny’s point is that this is a non-case. There is little evidence that Valerie Plame was actually outed. She and her husband were on a mission to discredit the administration and they used her supposed status as a tool.
Thus follows conversation with journalists and more conversations about conversations with journalists and Scotter apparently misstated some things (and was foudn guilty of THAT). There is still NO real evidence that anyone “outed” anyone, because she was about as undercover as I was.
But anything to make the administration look bad makes everyone happy, and that’s fine. I don’t care if the administration looks bad or not. There is plenty out there to make this administration look bad. You don’t need to send a guy to prison for 30 years for little or nothing to do that.
Meanwhile Sandy Berger who STEALS classified documents from the archives is just walking around with barely a slap on the wrist.
But, hey…
