When you add up state, city, and federal taxes, the difference between the US and the EU is not that great, sadly. That being said, certain EU and French policies are simply wacky and this overtime tax is one of them. We are in accordance on overtime. When you add up state, city, and federal taxes, the difference between the US and the EU is not that great, sadly. That being said, certain EU and French policies are simply wacky and this overtime tax is one of them.

Why is that French neuroscientist in America working at least 40 hours per week and voting to not allow his fellow country-men work the extra 5 hours if they choose?
