As Logipundit has pointed out in earlier posts, our country has made substantial steps in the right direction with regard to greenhouse emissions and related technologies. <br/><br/>Yes, there needs to be a "big picture" solution, but creating an arbitrary ceiling on the temperature of our planet is a little too lofty for modern government. <br/><br/>I would support a gas/energy tax before I would support this (and I am by no means a fan of taxes of any kind). On that note, isn't it true that we use more energy because we are a commuting nation? It's not that we drive SUV's so much as the fact that we live so far from where we work (and live so far from our family and friends). While there's no easy solution to this, its an important part to the problem of high energy use in the USA.
