Obama bribes the economically starved in Illinois

Text pulled from the “Stimulus” Bill:

“None of the funds provided by this Act may be made
available to the State of Illinois, or any agency of the State, unless (1) the use of such funds by the State is approved in legislation enacted by the State after the date of the enactment of this Act, or (2) Rod R. Blagojevich no longer holds the office of Governor of the State of Illinois. The preceding sentence shall not apply to any funds provided directly to a unit of local government by a Federal department or agency, or (2) by an established formula from the State. “

It’s nice to know that the Obama and the House will deem Blogdonovich guilty without due process.  No wonder the Illinois legislature is gung ho about hanging him out to dry. It’s now so crystal clear; they want a piece of the pie.  And who can blame them?

This reminds me of how the Clinton Administration and legislature manipulated Louisiana in the 1990’s.  No federal transportation infrastructure funding until the drinking age is raised to 21.  The legal drinking age in Louisiana was raised from 18 to 21 years five (count them…5!) days after I turned 18.  Bastards!  And Louisiana’s roads are still horrendous.

Several issues with this:
1. Federal government usurping power from the states.  Boooo!
2. Government places preconditions on its own people (in an economic crisis no less!), yet we won’t place preconditions on Iran?

Mississippi Levees Break Again

Well, it’s deja vu all over again. This time the levees are breaking in an Illinois town. Could this be racism as was the case in NO? No, this town is 99% white and only white people are racist.

With the recent flooding and forecasts for rain, I expect more levee failures and unthinkable flooding. Will the next president protect us from natural disasters? I mean, the government already protects us from everything else including ourselves.
